Self Defense Programs

Eye of the Tiger Self Defense ClassesAll of our self defense programs are available to male or female students. Classes are available during the day, evenings and week-ends.

We will use judgment to determine if the required age restriction for a particular program applies. If the prospective student is mature, has had previous self defense training etc., exceptions will apply.

Muay Thai
Coming soon a comprehensive Muay Tahi program instructed by qualified Muay Thai martial artists.

Tai Chi
Our Tai Chi program will be instructed by Penny Grace. Penny started Tai Chi Training at Cold Mountain Internal Arts in 1993, after having spent 3 years with the Daoist Society of Canada.

Shaolin Kung Fu
Shaolin Kung Fu program is designed for the student who wishes the ultimate self defense. This program brings the respect and discipline that has been passed down for hundreds of years. We teach the "sign of the 5 animals", the original Kung Fu style, which has roots in the 15th century. There is continuous bowing to our ancestors and our fellow students. We are considered brothers and sisters.

The program is open to students 5 years of age or older.

Shinki Ryu Jujitsu
The Shinki Ryu Jujitsu program is designed for the student who wishes self defense skills with limited striking requirements.The primary focus is on making a release or controlling/submitting the opponent, through the use of pressure points, releases, throws and take downs etc.

The program is open to students 5 years of age or older.

Cardio Kick Boxing

The Cardio Kick Boxing program is designed for the student who wishes to get in shape and learn to defend themselves but does not want to spar or compete in Tournaments.

The program is open to students 14 years of age or older.

Competitive (full contact) Kick Boxing
The Competitive (full contact) Kick Boxing program is designed for the student who wishes to test his skills in the ring against an opponent. We have sufficient networking connections to allow the student to continue to a professional level (at our Club or elsewhere).

The program is open to students 14 years of age or older.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
The MMA program is designed for the student, who wishes to learn the most advanced fighting skills that are currently allowed in sanctioned fighting. We have sufficient networking connections to allow the student to continue to a professional level (at our Club or elsewhere).

The program is open to students 14 years of age or older.

Personal Fitness
The Personal Fitness program is designed for the student who wants to get in shape while learning the techniques that will allow him/her to train themselves in the future. Usually a course is 6 lessons, with a private Instructor.

Private Lessons 
Private lessons are designed for someone who wishes to advance quicker than our programs provide. Private lessons involve all aspects of the Martial Arts e.g.: sparring, conditioning, self-defense etc.
